This is for :iconflanimate:'s third weekly flash challenge: "incorporate water".
I had to give it a go ^^. I felt like doing some frame by frame anyway.

It's a stone skipping/skimming... Oh and for the stone itself I used the cs4 motion tween. Most of the times I stick to the classic tween, because the motion editor is one big mess (but comes in handy for guides and stuffles).
It's a strange thing, how different motion editors can be: I love the AE one, but "hate" (=dislike) the Flash one.

EDIT: I think I solved the freezing frame. The problem was: the first splash sound was the very first sound in the movie, flash tends to lag when the first sound comes in. (I solved it by adding a swoosh sound before ^^)

I think it would be clearer if you had a different angle, rather than straight above,I like the look of this though.

sound effects are really good, animation is great...I especially like the tiny little tadpole or fish that get's scared and swims away.

The sound effects are from freesound.org (I only had to cut a little).

When the stone first hits the water, it freezes for like, 1 frame. But otherwise, It is pretty epic, and imo original.

Hm, I see what you mean.
The strange thing is: it doesn't freeze when I play it in flash, sometimes when I export the swf and all the time in the browser...

Anyway: Thank you!

Eh, your welcome.

That is truly an oddity.
